LED-control IC combines PFC, half-bridge driver

Designed for energy-efficient applications, such as LED street lighting, stadium lighting, and theatrical lighting, the IRS2548D switch-mode power supply (SMPS) control IC is offered to simplify design and reduce overall system cost by combining power factor correction (PFC) and half-bridge driver in a single IC. Internet in Malaysia

The year 1995 was considered the beginning of the Internet age in Malaysia. The growth in the number of Internet hosts in Malaysia began around 1996. According to the first Malaysian Internet survey conducted from October to November 1995 by MIMOS and Beta Interactive Services, one out of every thousand Malaysians had access to the Internet (20,000 Internet users out of a population of 20 million)(Beta Interactive Services, 1996). In 1998, this number grew to 2.6% of the population. The total number of computer units sold, which was 467,000 in 1998 and 701,000 in 2000 indicated an increasing growth (Lee, 2000c).

Career In IT Industry

Assalamualaikum and very Good morning..

Since this blog was launch, I think now is the best time to us to talk about career in IT.
I believed that all of you especially for those always stay tuned with this blog will keep wondering about the future career in IT industry. Therefore, here lets us talk and share about the job opportunities in this area!

Thats what we call BEYOND! always one step forward than others.

Discussion 1: How to Start Your Career in Information Technology?

For your information guys, many newcomers to the IT field are surprised when they find out it's tougher to get that first job than they thought it would be. I know exactly what that's like. I've had a great career in IT and I'd recommend it to anyone, but I had a tough time breaking in as well. I'd like to share some tips with you on how to get started on what can be a financially rewarding and personally satisfying career in Information Technology.

School systems are a great place to start.
A lot of newcomers forget that schools around the world need IT personnel to support school networks, printers, etc. I began my career with a public school system and it was the best move I could ever have made. If you land such a job, you'll be doing everything from unjamming printers to supporting the school's Local Area Network (LAN). You get experience that is going to look great on your resume - you'll have a big advantage over those whose job responsibilities are narrower. You won't make a lot of money, but what you need at the beginning of your career is experience, not money. Which brings me to my second point ....

Get certified
You have entered a field where you are always learning - or at least, you better be! If you stand still and stop learning, your skills will become obsolete and your IT career will stall. Start adding certifications to your resume to go along with your experience. Look into programs that deal primarily with PCs, such as A+, and then look at more advanced certifications such as the MCSE and the CCNA. When you are certified in all three major networking areas (hardware, server OS, and routers), you are a "triple threat"! Combine that with some experience and you will end up with a very impressive resume.

Network.
Networking has two different meanings in IT, and you know the first one. But besides computer networking, there's human networking. Get out there and meet people. Your local newspaper has a business section -check it for IT group meetings. The more you're seen, the more chance you have of being remembered. It's a small world, and IT is a small world as well. Meet the business leaders of your area as well. It is amazing how a quick face-to-face meeting or conversation can lead to great things down the road.

Software Development Life Cyle (SDLC)

Small to Medium Database Application

Hi Everybody!
This entry describes the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for small to medium database application development efforts. This entry presents an overview of the SDLC, alternate lifecycle models, and associated references.

The SDLC WATERFALL
  • Small to medium database software project are generally broken down into six stages.
The relationship of each stage to the others can be roughly describe as a waterfall, where the outputs from a specific stage serve as the initial inputs for the following stage.

During each stage, additional information is gathered or developed, combined with the inputs, and used to produce the stage deliverables. It is important to note that the additional information is restricted in scope, "New ideas" that  would take the project in directions not anticipated by the initial set of high-level requirements are not incorporated into the project. Rather, ideas for new capabilities or features that are out-of-scope are preserved for later consideration.

After the project is completed, the Primary Development Representative (PDR) and Primary End-User Representative (PER) in concert with other customer and development team personnel develop a list of recommendations for enhancement of the current software.

As conclusion, the structure imposed by this SDLC is specifically designed to maximize the probability of a successful software development effort. To accomplish this, the SDLC relies on four primary concepts:
  • Scope Restriction
  • Progressive Enhancement
  • Pre-defined Structure
  • Incremental Planning
These four concepts combine to mitigate the most common risks associated with software development efforts.

How Far Do You Know About MULTIMEDIA???

What is Multimedia?

Multimedia is everything you can hear or see: texts, books, pictures, music, sounds, CDs, videos, DVDs, Records, Films, and more.
Multimedia comes in many different formats. On the Internet you will find many of these elements embedded in web pages, and today's web browsers have support for a number of multimedia formats.

Multimedia Formats
Multimedia elements (like sounds or videos) are stored in media files.
The most common way to discover the media type is to look at the file extension.
When a browser sees the file extensions .htm or .html, it will assume that the file is an HTML page. The .xml extension indicates an XML file, and the .css extension indicates a style sheet.
Picture formats are recognized by extensions like .gif and .jpg.
Multimedia elements also have their own file formats with different extensions.
